African Bird Club (ABC)
  A UK based resource guide for ornithologists planning on going for birdwatching holidays to Gambia. On their website they also have additional help for birdwatchers such as over 40 local contacts for official bird guides in Banjul, birding hot spots, species list, Important Bird Areas (IBA's) & reference book materials.
 

Gambia Experience
  As well as providing general package tourist vacations they also have a selection of options for birdwatching tours for you to choose from. This includes one where you can join the UK TV presenter Chris Packham on the 13th February 2009 to Chimpanzee Island. The other trips are "Tanji Week" (18th January 2009 & 5th April 2009) and "Plover Week" (16th November 2008 & 8th February 2009). The company has an Air Travel Organisers' License.
   
Halcyon
  A UK tours company who claim to offer "The Complete Birding Holiday in The Gambia". Your  vacation would consists of accommodation and  6 full days birding covering a varied range of habitats. They also have available visits to the Niokolo Koba National Park in Senegal.
   
Avian Adventures (ATOL bonded company)
  Situated at Stourbridge, West Midlands they offer the option of either a 10 night or 14 night stay in November 2008 and January 2009 respectively. They can arrange wildlife holidays for local RSPB and Wildlife Trust groups, photographic societies or just groups of friends for whom our scheduled dates perhaps don’t suit.
   
Limosa Wildlife Holidays
  Their ornithological trips to Gambia are a two week trek in November, 2008 and 6 nights January / February 2009. They are based in North Norfolk and have available tours on the coastal areas exploring savanna, forest and shore staying in comfortable hotel setting in 20 acres of bird-filled tropical gardens, an overnight stay upriver, at Tendaba as well as Mangrove ‘creek-crawl’ by motorised pirogue in wall-to-wall sunshine spotting a feast of fabulous feathered friends.
   
Sunbird Tours
  The English based tour operator's travel dates are between Friday 5 December to 12 December, 2008 and Friday 30 January to Friday 6 February 2009 and Friday 4 December to Friday 11 December 2009. James Lidster is the team leader along with a local avian enthusiast. The Maximum group size is 14 with 2 leaders and the single room supplement is £40. Departures will be from London.   A classic introduction to Afro-tropical birding holidays operating from Lancashire, England. The company's departures take place in January of 2009 and 2010 with the group size limit for excursions set at 12.

  A British organiser offering bird safaris during the winter season in the month of November 2008 up to 2009. The organised package excursions lasts for 14 nights and their price includes return flights, accommodation and trips.
 
Bird Tours of The Gambia
  Homepage of a locally based tour guide named Junkung Jadama offering trips to many birdwatching locations. His website also features an extensive pictures gallery of around 50 species with there common name.
   
Birds of The Gambia & Firefinch Adventures
  These 2 week adventure tours from the USA also include a Senegal (Sahel) extension and are lead by the experienced team leaders Clive Barlow and Andy Lamy. Places to visit include among others Tanji, Tendaba, Georgetown, Basse, Brufut Woods, Banjul, Kotu Creek and Saint Louis. The site also includes a photos, streaming videos of birds, & useful links.
   
Naturetrek
  A UK based bird tours operator taking you on a 12-day safari holiday to interesting localities along the course of the River Gambia. Their itinerary dates cover the periods 7th Nov - 18th Nov 2008 and 6th Nov - 17th Nov 2009.

  A Netherlands based company which provides two weeks or one-week trips. It gives you the opportunity to visit the best locations where you can see numerous species of birds. Visit Bijol Island which is an unique Island in the Gambia where Herons, Terns and Gulls breed and where you can spot Kelp Gulls, White-fronted Plover, and sometimes  Pomarine Skua, Audouin’s Gull and the British storm petrel.
