A specialist school for kids who are mentally challenged. They provide a program of stimulating activities using various techniques. They welcome professional & lay volunteers to help out at the school.

This is a UK & Gambian registered charity working to help kids in education from 3 years up to 16 years. They offer volunteering trips where people can come to the Gambia & work in schools such as teaching, painting the schools, producing resources, sports coaching etc.

  Peace Corps

The Peace Corps takes applications from US citizens who are over the age of 18 years to do charitable work in agriculture, education, environment, engineering, community development work & health care including HIV/Aids prevention.

  Volunteer Work Placements
These are only available to overseas visitors during the off-season between May to September. While staying at the Banana Lodge you can be found work in medical, education, business, tourism & other fields.
