Information:
KETA was founded in 1985 and is a membership based NGO registered
in Banjul whose main goals are to improve their quality of
food, to help in their housing
and employment situations, maintain back-up stocks of cereals,
create income generation for local women and increase the
effectiveness of each member.
As an established self-help group in The Gambia the Kombo
East Tesito Association has initiated various projects to
this end including communal farming, jam production, skills
training, vegetable
gardens and soap making.
Keta carries out documentation and conducts research to monitor
the effectiveness of all its rural community programmes.
