Information:
PIA is a civic institution that was registered in Banjul in
1990 as a non-governmental organisation and is a member of
TANGO.
Their primary aims are to help local Gambian people of the
North Bank and Central River Regions be better coordinated,
increase their local output and improve access to education.
Furthermore, they aim to offer up-to-date farming methods
and equipment at grass roots level and carry out tree planting
exercises.
Finally, People In Action helps the physically disabled,
works to improve sanitation, carries out well digging and
make medical services and facilities available to the deprived.
