Information:
TANGO Gambia was established in Banjul in 1983 as the all
encompassing civil society body which was created by a few
NGOs
in order to prevent unnecessary duplication of charitable
development programmes.
The institution currently has over 75 members engaged in development
schemes around the country in areas such as education,
health,
village capacity
building, livelihoods,
agriculture,
infrastructural amenities and other development activities.
The founding group were also committed to making sure that
the optimum use of resources was made by NGOs for community
development
schemes via partnerships and connections and support of each
NGO's activities.
