Information:
WISDOM is a pro-poor women's NGO whose main objective is to
support and empower women's groups in Gambia to become effective
institutions that would carry out useful development work. It
lays emphasis on semi-urban and rural females who are classified
as needy. The people they hope will immediately benefit are
girls and women in all groups in the informal sector.
They also aim to ensure that women are treated equally
within society and are inclusive in the mainstream developmental
sector.
WISDOM's outlook is to make sure that the socio-economic
stature of women is positively enhanced in all areas of daily
life.
