Air
Nigeria (VK VGN), whose parent company is Virgin Atlantic Airways and
the Nicon Group, is a scheduled airline which makes departure flights
from The Gambia's Banjul Airport on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday
at 4.30 a.m.
The Nigerian airline has a fleet of 10
aircraft (Boeing 737-300, Boeing 737-400 and Embraer E-190) flying passengers to 17 international and domestic destinations from
the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos. These routes
are Abidjan, Abuja, Accra, Banjul, Benin, Brazzaville, Cotonou, Dakar Doula, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Libreville, Monrovia, Owerri, Port Harcourt
and Sokoto.
Payment for reservations made online, over the phone
or at any of their ticket offices can be made on their
website.
The baggage allowance is 40kg for Business
Class and 30kg for Economy Class.
Check-in time is at least 2
hours before your flight from Banjul but do check with the airport
first.
Meals vary depending on whether a flight is a domestic
or regional service, time of the day and length of flight.
Air
Nigeria have a special incentive scheme for passengers called
Eagleflier. It offers you 1 air mile for every mile flown in Economy
class and 2 miles for every mile flown in Business class. You will
earn more miles depending on the fare you purchase.
