distributor of education textbooks to schools, higher institutions
of learning and libraries.
In order to satisfy the demand for locally written textbooks The
Gambia developed the Textbook Revolving Fund Scheme (TRF) in 1992.
The desired goal was to make more quality educational books
available in core curriculum subjects as well as sustained financing
to guarantee supplies of updated and replacement books.
Textbooks are authored by people at the Curriculum Research and
Development Division then the books are printed in Hong Kong by
Macmillan Education Ltd. and teachers' manuals are printed locally
at Kmc.
