Information:
Safeway Supermarket is a relatively new grocery store on 'Pipeline Road' which has
more recently expanded the store after some re-modeling and has a
bright and airy feel. The food mall is fully
air-conditioned and the cash tills are equipped with the latest bar
code reading machines which results in fast check-out times.
The store sells a broad range of imported, branded food
products and other merchandise such as ice cream choc bars & family
sized tubs, crackers, Chinese
quick noodles, biscuits, mineral water, shoe polish, baby foods, air
fresheners, toothpaste,
washing up powder, shampoo, toothbrushes, cosmetics, Huggies nappies, fine
red and white
wines from Napa Valley Wine from California, France and Australia, lager, beer, crisps,
frozen foods like chicken nuggets and many other convenience foods.
 Though it is a fairly medium sized store
by European standards Safeway is one of the best
supermarkets in Gambia due to its carefully sourced, branded items
from the UK and around the world.
