Bellview
Airlines Limited operates in 12 countries, with over 35 daily-schedule flights
to 14 cities across three continents of Africa, Asia and Europe.
The airline began as an IATA approved travel agency in Lagos,
Nigeria, in 1989. Several years later, it leased a Russian-built
Yakolev 40 with a capacity of 30 passengers, with which she commenced
executive charter operations on the 1st of October 1992. In 1993 the
airline commenced internal scheduled passenger services in Nigeria,
using a DC-9-32 series aircraft leased directly from the McDonnell
Douglas Corporation.
The airline and her partner located in
Sierra Leone have grown into market leaders in their countries and
have 2nd flagship carriers in Central and West Africa, providing
flights to 14 cities, namely: Abidjan, Abuja, Banjul, Conakry, Dakar,
Douala, Freetown, Libreville, Lagos, Kano, Monrovia, Port Harcourt and
intercontinental services to Mumbai in India and Bellview-Sierra Leone to
London-Heathrow from Freetown.
