You should note that chartered airlines from Bristol International
Airport (BRS)
to Banjul only fly between November to April each year. It is possible
to find flights
between May to October using an alternative airport.
The availability of seats are on the days of Tuesday and Friday from
November to April 2011 to 2012.
Flights from Bristol are available on Tuesdays and
Fridays during the peak season with departures between the 3rd November,
2011
to the 27th April, 2012. These are operated by a German independent charter
airline, Hamburg International Airways
(IATA code 4R), running a fleet of Boeing 737-700 on behalf
of Gambia Experience package
holidays operator.
Bristol Airport also receives regular services from a number of
airports in the Channel Islands, Ireland as well as the UK. These are
Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles, Norwich, Newquay,
Plymouth, Dublin, Shannon, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow,
Bradford, Newcastle, Manchester, Belfast, Cork and Belfast
International.
Along with the option of 7 or 14 nights on offer,
durations of 10 or 11 nights or even short stays of 3 to 4 nights are
available. For example you can fly to The Gambia on a Tuesday for 10
days and return to Bristol on a Friday, or depart on a Friday for 11 nights and return to Bristol on a
Tuesday. Note that these tend to be more costlier than the
Thomas Cook 9 to 12 night duration.
