About:
 The
Calabash is Gambia's most exclusive
night club. The club opens four days a week from Thursdays to Sundays,
from 10:00 p.m. till late.
At the Calabash it's always a special treat - Fridays, it's Ladies
night! Every night a Guest DJ joins the terrific house DJ to provide
live music ranging from Senegambian (mbalax,
Ndaga, etc.), Western,
Reggae to Caribbean.
Calabash is not your normal African standard nightclub. With its state
of the art lighting and sound system, Calabash has a very unique
all-in-one entertainment complex which is offered.
 On the ground floor, you have a wonderful jazz bar / restaurant where
you can enjoy a range of wonderful dishes from the menu.
Then you can enjoy grooving the night away in the nightclub on the
first floor, which has on offer two large bars, a large dance floor
all within the comfort of the clubs air-conditioning. Or you can relax
on the numerous amounts of leather sofas situated around the club,
just listening to the best live bands from around the Senegambian
region or a mixture of music from around the world.
On the top floor there is an open air terrace which offers a
grill/BBQ/bar. So for the romantics, you can look at the stars, hear
the sound of the waves from the nearby ocean and watch the sun rise.
On certain evenings of the week, Calabash nightclub offers shows,
which include live performances by popular Senegambian artistes. Njaga
Mbye, Super Cayorr, Ousou Njie Senor, Mam Tamsir Njie - are just a
fraction of an already growing list of artistes that have already
performed at Calabash nightclub.
If this is still not impressive enough for you, occasionally, an
international star pops by to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, and
Senegambian culture that only Calabash can provide!
Apart from being a nightclub, Calabash also offers corporate parties,
wedding parties, birthday parties, catering services, dinner and
private parties for those who would like a more personal touch and
feel to their evening.
