Company Profile:
 Gamwater Co. Ltd. was incorporated in 2002 and began its business
operations in December 2003. It is a Gambian owned company whose
proprietor is Amadou Samba, a prominent businessman who also owns
Gacem as well as other companies.
The company are producers of purified, bottled
natural mineral water at their bottling factory in the Kanifing
Industrial Estate.
The brand of water is known at
'Naturelle'
and is extracted from their own deep water well and filtered in line with the
WHO guidelines which
emphasises water purity and the removal of microbial contamination.
Routine quality control checks are carried out to test for PH levels,
palatability, Ozone levels, Total Dissolved Solids, bacteria levels
and chemical make-up. The company's daily production is 2,000
bottles of 1.5 litres per day and 3,000 bottles of 0.5 litres per day.
Gamwater supplies bottled water to the local market such as in hotels,
restaurants and bars as well as shipping the product for export to
other countries in West Africa.
