Gambia Architectural &
Planning
Consultants Limited were legally formed in 1992 in
Banjul. The
corporation is a structural design, planning consultancy and
construction management group with a speciality in urban planning
development and architectural technical drawings. Since its
incorporation the company has amassed a large body of hands-on
experience in civil engineering design and
building supervision
particularly in understanding the issues related to
population
expansion and town development.
Team:
Gap Consultants keeps a full-time number of specialists on the staff
who are quantity surveyors, civil engineers, town planners and social
planners. In addition they have partnerships with other professionals
for the effective execution of certain projects. For the carrying out
of technical surveys, GAP has put together teams made up of many
experts including statisticians, mechanical engineers to check load
densities, sanitation experts and solar engineers.
Works:
The company has been engaged
in the planning layout and construction of many purpose built offices
for our local banks which includes GTBank,
Standard and
Trust Bank.
Equipment & IT:
Their office is
fitted with an array of computers loaded with computer aided design
software as well as a large stock of specialist books and magazines
for inspirational works.
Other Activities:
A certain number
of students are taken on internships by the company for practical,
real-life training. Regular donations are also made to certain
educational institutions and local Ngo's.
GAP also participates in the Gambia Association of Construction
Consultants, Gambia Association of Architects, Inter-Ministerial
Technical Committee on Allocation and Management of Land in the
TDA.
