Company Profile: On the 5th of March 2002 GT Bank (Gambia)
Limited was
licensed by the
Central Bank (CBG) to operate full commercial
banking
activities. It began operations with an authorised share capital of
D40 million (about $1.4 million) and paid-up capital of D35.7 million
($1.3 million).
It has since increased its paid-up share capital to
D60 million with an authorised capital of D65 million in line with the CBG's new share capital requirements. Their
headquarters is situated at 56
Kairaba Avenue

which is intended to create a visual impact as
well as being welcoming to its customers. Their office complex creates
an impressive addition compared to many of the other rather drab
buildings on the Kairaba Avenue. The Bank offers a
wide range of commercial banking services and products for
individuals, corporations, international institutions and public
sector organizations. On the 17th October 2006 opens a branch in Kololi's
Senegambia area. The branch is located near the junction.
In 2007 it deployed a number of 5th generation ATM Cash Machines at
its branches in
Kololi and Kairaba Avenue. In March 2008 it opened its
7th branch in The Gambia and is now the 3rd largest bank in the
country.
