Company Profile: Keda, who
originate in the Netherlands, are
wholesale importers of second hand used clothing who are situated
within the Free Zone warehouse area at the Banjul Port.
They also re-export to the West Africa region to such countries as
Senegal, Bamako in Mali, Cotonou in Niger and Guinea Conakry. The
company has been in the household import / export rummage business for
over 30 years. It was back in 2004 that Holland based firm
decided to re-locate its used-clothing operations to the Port of
Banjul in order to get closer to its customer base in West Africa.
Warehouse Operations:
Within their 3,000 sq. m. warehouse no. 3 clothes are separated,
sorted and packaged by approximately 40 local employees into bundles
for the export market as well as for distribution to the local Gambian
market.
Clothing Fripperies Examples of
clothing items for sale are men's & women's shirts, baby clothes,
blankets, towels and other miscellaneous items.
