Prime
Insurance Company Limited was formally incorporated on the 14th of
February 1997. The company received a license to operate by the
Central Bank of The Gambia (CBG) on the 26th of May 1997 and commenced
its insurance operations on the 1st of July 1997. A formal Certificate
of Re-registration has been issued by the CBG to continue in the
insurance business having met all the pre-requisite requirements in
line with the 1974 Insurance Act.
Capitalization:
Currently, the authorised share capital of
the Company is D21,000,000 while their paid up capital has been
increased to D16,000,000.
Prime Insurance's main aim is to concentrate its services to act a
complete insurance
institution which executed through continued and by balanced and
steady growth.
Re-Insurers:
This has been facilitated by the United African Insurance Brokers (UAIB).
