New Tariffs On the 7th July 2008 The Gambia National Transport Control Association (GNTCA) set new tariff in the prices of taxi fares throughout the country. Within the Banjul capital levels have now been increased to D6 per trip. The Banjul to Serekunda or Tallinding and to the Buffer Zone stretches are now D8 while any point immediately after the Buffer Zone is D10. Westfield to Tabokoto remains D5 for both vans and town taxis. Westfield Junction to Banjul also remains D6 but Banjul to Bakau, has been increased to D8, and onto Brikama, D17. Serrekunda to: Bakau, D6, and onto to Lamin, all the way towards Banjulunding has now been set to D6, to Brikama has also gone up to D12, to Gunjur is now as D18 while to Tujering is now at D12. Further out: the Banjul to Basse fare has now been increased to D220, to Bansang D195, to Soma D100. Barra to Kerewan has been increased to D33; to Amdallai is now D23, to Farafenni is D75.
