Whether it’s dining alfresco under
the stars in our internationally acclaimed "La Cantina" Mexican
restaurant, eating in their uber cool "inside Weezos" modern European
restaurant, or asking Amadou to shake you a cocktail whilst you "Graze" on tapas or just enjoying the early hours - There’s something
for everyone at Weezos.
This is the place to eat, drink and move your feet.
Stosie Madi
is the head chef & proprietor at Weezo's. Stosie cooks depending of
what is in season and uses local produce only where possible.
How it all began: December 1989 the
fated day Stosie met Kath, 50 beers and several parties later wild
mutual party animal friends suggested strongly that they should do
this professionally and actually make a living out of it.
Weezo's
Restaurant was conceived in December 1991 after Stosie's dear father (weezo)
died. AJ arrived in December '92 and on the 27 May 1993 amidst masses
of curiosity and controversy the restaurant opened.
A second restaurant she opened was the, La cantina, also in The
Gambia.
