African Travel & Tours Ltd. is an all-inclusive, full-service,
incoming Destination Management Company (DMC) located in Fajara, Greater Banjul. It was established in
1987 by Ms. Angela Andrews and Mr. Patrick Sothern and today they
manage about 30,000 tourists per year.
They are ideally
suited to tour companies with small-scale specialist packages for
which they can offer a complete resorts service. They offer a full
booking service (group and F.I.T. rates) and related travel arrangements, from recommendations
for flights to late hotel reservations,
orientation and excursions to various tourist attractions.
Staff:
They have a staff of 50 to
100 (depending on tourist season) who between them can speak a variety of languages including
English, Wolof, Mandinka, French and German. It is this combination
that allows them to offer translation services for their clients.

Transport:
The company's vehicles include 4-wheel drive Landrovers and
trucks in order to meet the demanding needs of excursions over
sometimes difficult terrain which maybe off-the-beaten-track. Their vehicle maintenance and
repairs
are regularly carried out by their own in-house, fully trained
mechanics.
