Review: These are very civilised self-catering apartments with all mod-cons, on the Palma Rima Rd., very close to the beach. Formerly a night club, its 3 floors were converted into deluxe tourist accommodation providing many home comforts such as bathtubs. Some of the top floor rooms have sea views. Room options are: 1 and 2 Bedroom Apartments; 1 Bedroom Studios. Calabash also has Wi-Fi internet access, stand-by water, power generator and 24/7 security. The front and side end of the canary yellow building is lined by a lush, tropical garden of palm trees, lawns and Bougainvillea. Along the front of the road and towards the beach are plenty of diners, shops and at the very end of the road you can find Solomon's Beach Hut, a favourite with many tourists and locals alike serving cold beers and serving great seafood eaten in or on the sand under coconut palms. On Sundays expect lots of tourists and beachgoers from town.

Review: The lodge is a bit of an odd place with a 25m guitar shaped swimming pool, 1 communal kitchen, a well-appointed poolside bar serving soft and alcoholic drinks and Wi-Fi. The pool is surrounded by roomy, African style round huts, each with 4 poster double bed with mosquito net, shower, sink and toilet. The general garden grounds are immaculate, well maintained with lots of tiled terrace and walkways.

Fajara Golf Apartments

Review: This Fajara based accommodation has 6 apartments, each with 2 or 3 bedrooms, with twin beds and modern conveniences. Each apartment has a proper kitchen (sink, fridge, gas cooker), air-conditioned bedrooms, fans, living room / dining area, mosquito screens and a television. Despite the Colonial style design of the blocks they are clean and have been well maintained over the years. The buildings are in a very quiet, genteel residential area within close walking distance to the beach (5 minutes), bars and eateries. The garden bar is a convenient place to have a drink and mingle with other guests without having to trek down to Kairaba Avenue.
