APGWA is a registered non-governmental organisation
which is run by Binta Jammeh-Sidibe who is a gender
activist in Gambia. The organisation works with over
ninety villages to champion their economic empowerment,
political, health and reproductive
rights.
Over the years APGWA, among other groups, has campaigned
against traditional female
