Information:
DHASO, which was established in December 2003, is a
registered non-governmental organisation in Gambia which
promotes awareness about the disease as well as disseminating
advice to Aids/HIV
sufferers and their spouses for example through sensitization
workshops. Its program also also targets volunteers,
school children, parents and teachers.
The civil society body aims to compliment the governments
fight against the pandemic by working in close partnership
with the Ministry
of Health as well as health related NGOs.
DHASO's clinical services includes HIV Voluntary Counselling
and Testing (VCT) and its advisory services includes
Behaviour Change Communication (BCC). |
