Information:
The SAJCF was established in 2004 as a registered medical
relief charity and training scheme whose main mission
is to provide free medical services to under-privileged
patients in urban and rural village communities in the
Gambia.
Since 2007 the non-governmental organisation has trained
medical personnel and TBAs - traditional birth attendants
(midwives) in the use of the partograph and other emergency
baby delivery techniques in the North Bank and Western
River Regions.
Since its founding it has initiated over 50 mobile medical
visits accompanies by its health workers to visit rural
areas and have provided medical treatment to over 20,000
people.
The SAJCF also carries out a health training program
for workers in rural area.
The philanthropic program is funded by donations
locally and from overseas. |
