Review:
Brown's Pizza & Deli used to be located in Banjul
capital but has since moved further south along the
coast and is now in the town of Brusubi near Tranquil.
It is situated on the main road so its an ideal vantage
point to watch the daily life of Gambians go back and
forth.
The diner and takeaway is a small, family friendly restaurant
whose menu caters for both meat eaters and vegetarians.
Its food is cooked using good standard recipes to create
excellent pizzas, salads and other fine dishes which
range from the contemporary to the traditional.
Examples of their meals includes freshly wrapped chicken
or beef Shawarma with lettuce, peppers, onions, tomatoes
and condiments such as hot chilli sauce, mustard or
yogurt sauce. You can try their delicious, and piping
hot rotisserie chicken which is roasted near the front
entrance of the restaurant.
To wash down your meal they offer a variety of soft
drinks and fruit juices but please note they don't serve
alcohol on the premises though you are allowed to bring
your own alcoholic beverages and the waiters will kindly
offer you a glass.
The WC facilities are fine and kept reasonably clean.
Next door they also run a small mini-market selling
a number groceries and non-food items.
Directions:
From the Senegambia Strip junction drive south past
Bijilo and it is at the next roundabout next to the
Access Bank.
