The
accountancy firm of Augustus Prom
 is a
partnership created in 1984, in Banjul, and has over the years
expanded from an averaged sized firm to a mid to large sized group.
Since 1984, the partnership has gained an abundance of local expertise
and has been delivering services in financial & management accounting, taxation, auditing, management and
business advice. Augustus Prom is a Gambian Fellow of the
Chartered Certified Accountants of the UK. They have a staff of over
25 people with varied skills which vary from Audit Managers with professional qualifications,
to university degree holders, AAT members
to interns.
The firm has conducted financial reviews and
services for major companies in Gambia as well
as for the Non-governmental organisations, the local agencies of the
United Nations, OPEC and the World Bank.
The firm also undertakes assignments in the sub-region particularly in
Senegal, Guinea Conakry and Bissau, Sierra Leone and Cape Verde.
Services and Products:
Accountancy:-
They assist with the preparation of annual and interim accounts. We
provide advice on taxation, so that the relevant tax acts are used to
maximum benefit. Furthermore, they advice clients on whether their
accounting procedures are in line with regulations and relevant laws.
Auditing:-
The firm has developed a collection of auditing manuals, which are
regularly updated in accordance to changes in international and
Gambian laws and auditing guidelines, and which ensure the best
possible level of quality in accordance with grounded auditing
practices and international auditing standards.

Bookkeeping Assistance:-
The firm's bookkeeping is computerised and based on sector-oriented
standards which can adjust to the client's individual requirements.
Budgets:-
The preparation of the budgets is carried out in close cooperation
with the client, making the budgets express exactly the client's
expectations of the future. Essential parts of the budgets are a
written conclusion.
To make the budgets as informative as possible, they use the same
layout and accounting principles as used at the preparation of the
annual accounts.
Business Consultancy:-

Augustus Prom encourage its clients to computerize their accounting

relevant local practicing solicitors. The service includes services in
bankruptcy, administration, and the total liquidation of companies and
its assets.

and tax payable, personal income tax and quarterly or annual
assessments.
