Biography:
Junior King (K)
is a reggae singer from Kololi Village. He is one of the
youngest Gambian reggae artist who was born on the 24th
March 1987. His most inspiration comes from his mum who was
a church singer.
"My inspiration to play music was from God. In addition
to that, my mother who was herself a choir singer also had
an influencing effect on me. Initially, when I was going to
school my ambition was to become a medical doctor. However,
the dramatic change of heart to become a musician instead
was like receiving a spiritual message from God making me to
become the voice of the voiceless".
During the time Junior K was going to school, inside the
classroom where he always beat the classroom's tables with
few of his friends and start spontaneous reggae singing, and chanting which
gained him the title of the most stubborn student in his
school.
