Information:
 The
Green Trust is a rural community based non-governmental organisation
engaged in environmental
protection, good forest management practices, village
capacity building, campaigns against forest
degradation and carries out tree planting exercises. TGT is
active in the areas of Soma
and the Lower River Region. Their main mission is to integrate
the environment with people in a sustainable manner.
Organisation:
The head of the Green Trust in Gambia is the chairman who
is also the CEO who is aided by 4 staff members who sit on
the executive board of directors and three principal officers
along with a host of volunteers. The TGT secretariat is located
in Soma town in the Jarra West District of the Lower River
Region.
