FM 100.7mhz is a private, commercial radio station located in the Greater Banjul
Area of the Gambia and was established on the 13th December 2007 as a
Commercial Radio Station.
While on air it offers live stream online
for its listeners in Gambia and around the world.
Within 1 year of operations Unique FM has established another
commercial Radio Station also called Unique FM with the same frequency
101.7 in Basse, a town in the eastern half of the country.
In addition to their music and showbiz programmes it was the first
radio station to broadcast business and aviation
news as well as giving a regular weather report in the Gambia. Jingles
are produced in-house using their digital recording studio.
Unique FM also has a media partnership with Voice of America (VOA)
and broadcasts their morning programme Day Break Africa, Wednesdays
evening’s Talk show Straight talk Africa, and their 5minutes News on
the Hour.
