Gambia’s first and only national private service broadcaster,
registered in England (United Kingdom), GBC IS wholly owned by 'Invest
Gambia'. As such, GBC is obliged to provide a comprehensive range of
distinctive programmes and services. GBC informs, educate, entertain,
support and develop culture and education and as far as possible
secure fair and equal treatment for all in the nation and around the
Globe, while offering programming on television, radio and
newspaper.
GBC’s television is mainly across the satellite and cable networks of
across the world. The broadcast channel application currently sought
in UK (when Completed) will make GBC as on of the biggest broadcasting
corporation of African origin. Thereby their combined media and
broadcasting portfolio is set to reach more than 50 million viewers
daily, and intends to attract viewers from all parts of western Europe, parts of
Africa and Middle east.
