Djambass
Music organises cultural
holidays to Gambia from the UK and
pulls in some of the African continent's most talented bands
& solo artistes in shows and gigs.
They also have in supply West African traditional
percussion
instruments, as well as saxophones and congas to stage
musical extravaganzas to crowds.
Cultural Visits: Djambass
has been operating cultural musical holidays to Gambia since
2000. Accommodation is set in a typical African compound
with western-style facilities.
Drumming & dance classes:
They are held in Gambia five days a week with the African
percussionist masters such as Master Canon, performing with the Troupe
“African Ballet”. Workshops for Djembe classes also take
place in Brighton on the south of England.
Retail: Djambass Music
has a broad selection of West African instruments for sale,
including a wide variety of good quality professional
standard drums.

Yiri Baa:
Yiri Baa was formed in 1999, when Bocarr Ndow, from The
Gambia, brought together a group of musicians to fulfil his
ambition and bring his favourite West African rhythms to
British audiences. All the band members are professional
musicians, touring and performing with other bands also,
with backgrounds of jazz, Latin, calypso, folk and funk.
They play the flute, Ngoni (African harp lute), and various
percussion instruments such as the Djembe, Dunduns (Bass drums), and Congas Sabar drums.
