The Swedent
Clinic Gambia Ltd. is a top quality Swedish dental practice which was established
by LarsGöran Wärn from Stockholm in 1992 after an oral health mission in Bansang
1987-1990. The
location of the dentist's surgery is between Maroun's Supermarket in
Kololi and
the Kotu Police.
They offer a full-service dental clinic with all modern equipment,
air conditioned rooms and is staffed all-year round, 24-hours a day, 7
days a week.
They carry out a number of dental procedures such as tooth
extractions, fillings, bridges, root canal treatment, dentures, crowns
and specialist orthodontic work. The company can also carry out aesthetic
dentistry such as tooth whitening and jewel embedding.
Charges
start from D300 for a consultation up to D20,000 for dentures.
The Swedent Clinic has a back-up generator and a
water tank which is fitted with a filtration system in case of utility
stoppages. The surgery has an extra-oral x-ray machine, OPG for
orthodontic examinations.
The founder of Swedent Clinic, LarsGöran Wärn,
is part of Afrikaada Teeth Savers the Gambia which is intended to
improve peoples oral health even for the poor who could not pay for
the medical bills normally charged.
